Official Opening of the Cockburn Wetlands Precinct
SITE’s Project Architect Naomi McCabe attended the official opening of the Cockburn Wetlands Precinct. We are excited to share photos of the opening. The redevelopment includes facilities for WA Wildlife (formally Native Arc), Wetlands Education Centre, new Nursery, new scouts shed for the Bibra Lake Scout Group, extensive landscaping, and Wetlands.
Eaton Community College – New Science Building
SITE was engaged by the Department of Finance to design a facility to replace existing Science transportables at Eaton Community College, south of Perth. The brief included: 4 General Science Labs, 2 dedicated Chemistry Labs, Staff and Preparation Areas, located on the existing middle school hard courts. Through SITE’s process of Understanding, we began the process with a deep enquiry with key staff to discover the site context, values, and educational vision unique to Eaton Community College which we could draw upon to inform the design. Project Update: Bushfire Centre of Excellence
The landscaping has commenced at the new Bushfire Centre of Excellence, paving is being laid and the glazing continues to be installed allowing us to see just how well the spaces connect and engage with the landscape.
New Indoor Dry Diving Centre for WA Diving
SITE Architecture Studio is excited to announce our success in an invited competition to design the new home of WA diving located at HBF Stadium in Mount Claremont. The new Indoor Dry Diving Centre will complement the existing diving pool facilities to create a world-class diving training Centre in Western Australia.
Feature Project: Baldivis District Sports Complex
SITE was commissioned for the Baldivis District Sports Complex (BDSC) by the City of Rockingham in mid-2019 following the completion of a masterplan prepared by Hames Sharley. The sport and recreation open space included multiple playing fields serviced by the following facilities: 4 Court Indoor Recreation Centre with 3 Multi-purpose function rooms and Café. A District level Sports Pavilion with social space, bar/kiosk, administration spaces, change rooms and storage, as well as City administration offices.
