2018 a Year in Review

As 2018 draws to a close, we have reflected on some of the positive stories from what has been a challenging, yet busy and productive year at SITE. We have been busily working on a diverse range of projects across a number of sectors and are excitedly looking forward to a well-earned break, ahead of what is already shaping up to be an incredible 2019. We would like to thank all of our dedicated clients, consultants, and colleagues for your ongoing support throughout 2018 and we will see you all again in the new year.

    The new Science Building is located within the existing Eaton Community College school campus, with 4 new labs located around a central Science Foyer with flexible design and Maker Space STEM hub and a new Staff Studies located within a fully refurbished adjoining existing classroom building. SITE defined options for the final building location during a Master planning Phase.

    SITE Director Paul Edwards, element Director Cath Blake-Powell and Community & Stakeholder Engagement Consultant Liz Pope facilitated a series of workshops with the City, key Youth and Community Stakeholders in developing a functional brief and vision for the project. Through a rigorous site, planning, and brief interrogation process, a Concept Design was developed by SITE that proposes a communal hub directly linking adjoining sports and recreation, civic and public transportation nodes within a burgeoning town centre.

    Grandis Park Sports Pavilion in Banksia Grove was officially opened along with the adjacent Banksia Grove Skate Park by City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts JP and Counsellors on Saturday 27th of October 2018. Grandis Park Sports Pavilion includes much-needed change rooms, function hall, kiosk, kitchen, storage, first aid room, and universal access toilet.

    The Lookout Bar, Bowling, and Bites is now open. SITE worked with the Northerly Group,  National Bowling and Recreation Centres (NBRC) to convert the existing Matisse Beach Club at Scarborough Beach adding 8 new bowling lanes.
  • AH BRACKS LIB
    AH Bracks Library reopened in September 2018 after a 6-month refurbishment period. Designed by SITE for the City of Melville the library includes new children’s space, public artworks, exhibition spaces, breakout spaces, reading spaces, meeting rooms and library services. 
  • Cockburn Wetlands – Naomi
    SITE have been recently engaged as Lead Consultant for the redevelopment of the Cockburn Wetlands precinct. This is a really interesting project which involves master planning the entire site including the Wetlands Centre, the Native Animal Rehabilitation Centre (NARC) and the Bibra Lake Scouts. We have enjoyed getting to know the precinct a little better and also some of the users.
 

 

 

 

 

Hale Junior School

We are excited to announce that Hale Junior School Redevelopment won category 2 New Construction / New Individual Facility over $8M at the Learning Environments WA Chapter Awards. The Redevelopment included Junior Administration, Resource hub, Upper, Middle, and Lower Junior Learning Hubs.

Ellenbrook Youth Centre Feasibility and Concept Design
